For the first time in 15 years, the Cowboys will play on Christmas Day when they travel to face the Washington Commanders on Dec. 25. That will be a Thursday game in the D.C. area, where the Cowboys were able to win last year in a dramatic fashion.

Playing on Christmas is not a usual occurrence for the Cowboys, who have played just four regular-season games on Dec. 25 in franchise history. But playing on Thanksgiving Day is obviously a regular event.

That game was also announced on Wednesday morning as the Cowboys are schedule to face Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs on Nov. 27 at AT&T Stadium. It'll be the first time Kansas City has come to Dallas for a Turkey Day game in 30 years.

Of the three games the NFL has already announced for the Cowboys it features two road divisional games against the teams that met in the NFC Championship Game, including the Super Bowl champions, along with other Super Bowl participant (Chiefs).

Earlier this week, the NFL announced the Cowboys would play at Philadelphia on Sept. 4 on the Thursday Night Football matchup to open the entire NFL season.
